Tending to your creative foundations

Building a sustainable business + using your intuition to guide you

Hello, and welcome back to the Brand Seasons podcast, a space to explore the rhythms of our creative lives and work.

I'm your host, designer, mentor, and writer, Sarah Robertson, and today I’m exploring the Season of Sowing in greater depth along with the concepts of waiting, tending and pacing.

I also talk about:

  • supporting our creativity

  • permission to be imperfect

  • bringing playfulness into our days

  • creating a sustainable business

  • using our intuition to guide us

The Season of Sowing is something I wrote about in more detail last year. The three-part series takes readers behind the scenes and into my process for creating the Brand Seasons framework.

You might like to bookmark these posts and come back to them after listening to the episode as they go deeper and wider on the topic.

I was also inspired to share some words from the author Megan Smalley, who, in writing about her fertility challenges, said:

“There is purpose in your season of waiting.”

While this is something I can personally relate to after my own experience of secondary infertility and recurrent miscarriage, I believe we can find freedom in our season of waiting within our businesses and creative practices, too.
