I LOVE that you watch yoga with Adrienne too Sarah! I’m literally in bed for my me time day right now about to get up and join her on the mat! I’m finishing up Center before trying the new Flow series!

Also- this whole conversation is so so good!! If it feels aligned- I’d love to chat about collabing and continuing this conversation on my platform! Branding + slow living is exactly what my Mompreneur audience wants to learn more about!

I’m still on Center, too! 2023 was a slow year on the movement front. I took my time with getting back into it after baby 😅

And I’d love to learn more about a possible collaboration. My email is sarah@thesearethedays.co if you’d like to connect there 💛

It's SO good! I finished Yin (day 27 I think?) today! And yes! Take your time as you should! I'm 3 years postpartum and finally getting back into moving!

Sounds great! I'm emailing you now!

This was such a helpful and insightful read, thank you! I've been struggling with how to align all the things I want to write about under the one umbrella recently and how to build - and serve - a bigger community and there were a lot of great questions here for me to ponder. Thank you! 💜

You’re welcome, Cassie! Bringing those threads together can feel a little daunting, at first, but once they’re in alignment it’s such a good feeling 💛

I’m slowly finding my way to all my saved articles from the last month or so… and loved reading this… I’m on day 20 of yoga with Adrienne.. which feels like a major achievement considering I didn’t even do one last year!!! I find helping others with their brand so much easier than doing my own… which maybe isn’t something I should say out loud! Ha! But the more I think about it the more I’m realising that Held… is my overall essence and the pieces are all part of the story of being held by my offerings… lots to contemplate and I love your gentle and loving way of approaching this. I can’t wait to sit with you in space soon and dive deeper. Xx

So pleased this landed with you, Lauren! I’m always curious to know what other brand designers think. Look forward to exploring things with you in the near future 💛

It really feels like slowly creating home in a brand, when you write about it. And it has really reassured me that I’m on the right way. I’m really looking forward to the next posts on branding too. Now, I am thinking, or marinating, about how I could gently insert some ‘reveal’ ✨ Such a valuable resource, Sarah!

Thanks for the encouragement, Nadja. I really do want this to become a space where you can nurture your brand in a way that feels joyful and easeful!

Loved reading this Sarah, it is such a nurturing way to look at what can feel overwhelming! I loved learning more about concepts of slow design, I found it very interesting to think about what I have already done and thinking of new ideas to apply to my own ‘brand’.

As mentioned in your intro thread etc, I am very much in the stage of feeling into my vision and hope that this will help in shaping my presence here and elsewhere in a considered, consistent and inspiring way xx

Thanks so much, Lyndsay. I’m so glad it feels sustainable to you, too! My hope is to lean further into the idea of the slow brand this year. In fact, I’m really excited about it! I think it’s needed for our times. Looking forward to seeing what’s next for you and Story & Thread ☺️💛

Oh absolutely, the idea of a slow brand feels meaningful and reassuringly manageable. It also lends itself to evolving too.

Yes it feels like an exciting time. Thank you so much for your support and encouragement xx

Love the bit about branding being a considered journey - there’s so much permission in that. Not super profesh but my invoices still have my old logo on them because I like to see it and remind myself that it was my first logo and a step towards all of this - yep it has sparkles on it! 😉✨

Little by little! It’s the most sustainable way, I think. Of course, it’s nice to have things looking spot on, but there’s no need to hurry, right?! 💛

Right!! And so reassuring!

Such a great, down to Earth approach. I love how it is all about the essence of who we are and through that dripping it into our brand. Thank you for sharing your wisdom. I also particularly love how you shared the unfolding of it all as part of a process and part of trusting that process. ❤️

What a lovely, thoughtful comment, Sylvia. Thank you. I haven’t found writing very easy this month so you’ve given me a boost ⚡️

I definitely think slow, simple and sustainable is the way, if you can afford yourself the time and space to play and see what feels good 💫

Such a helpful post! I’m going to work through each of these steps I think as I try to build my ‘brand’ - ie my Substack community. I love how actionable your steps are: I can already see how I can ‘reveal’ behind the scenes, for example. 🥰

So pleased you can see how it might be helpful, Holly! Do let me know how you get on 💛

I enjoy writing posts like this but never quite know if I’m getting the balance right between sharing too little or too much, especially when the subject is as wide as branding...a word that very few like, but I’m happy to reclaim it 🤗

As someone with no experience of branding, it was helpful that you gave small steps that seem do-able (to me at least!). I’m very tempted by your subscription as I do want to work on my Substack intentionally this year: I have six months or so where I’m not working before I start my next academic project (although I’m a sahm to one little, I am blessed with good naps to pursue writing!).

Glad the steps feel simple to work through. And I’d be delighted to welcome you, Holly! Excited to begin sharing resources over the coming weeks 😀
